Monster Jam

We had to work hard to earn the visit to the Deutsche Park Bank Arena. We left the camping early to catch the bus to Frankfurt in the neighboring village. We waited in vain because our bus, which was delayed by 35 minutes, did not arrive. Therefore, we decided to call a taxi, which fortunately arrived 10 minutes later and dropped us off at the arena on time. But only because Nico was navigating, as the taxi driver wasn't really familiar with the area.

Then the arena, Davide's eyes were huge and he didn't know where to look. He was completely overwhelmed.

First, we had to get some popcorn and something to drink, and then the show started. First, all the drivers were introduced and they said a few words, and then the first category started, the race over two laps, and the winner of each round advanced to the next round, until finally, The Amazing Spiderman took the victory. Unfortunately, Max D. (one of Davide's two favorites) had to drop out due to engine failure.

In the second category, everyone was allowed to show two wheel stunts, and we, the audience, were able to vote using our phones, and Black Panther clearly came out on top.

During the intermission, Davide couldn't be stopped and had to go to the merchandise stand and buy souvenirs of Max D. and Grave Digger.

Just in time for the third category, the Grave Digger truck (Davide's second favorite) was ready for action again after sustaining a major damage during the afternoon performance.

Finally, Megalodon showed us the long-awaited backflip in the third category, the 2-minute freestyle ride, and put on a mega show. Grave Digger followed suit and also did a backflip, but his points were not enough to beat Megalodon, who eventually took the victory. After this category, no truck was the same as before, parts were lost, tires were blocked... they really gave it their all.

The overall victory across all three categories was eventually won by Black Panther.

The show was grand and we were all deeply impressed, the sound of the engines touched us directly.

After a train and taxi ride, we were finally back at Giorgino's and had to let the experience sink in, especially Davide was full of adrenaline after this evening.
