Our last day of vacation together. Beate wants a trip to the David Gareaja cave monastery. Certainly doable just 100 km from Tbilisi. We cross a dream landscape with an arid climate. We can admire two salt lakes. The monastery (in operation) dates back to the 6th century and is registered by Georgia as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The church and the rooms dug into the rock are impressive. It is the oldest monastery in Georgia. We are back in Tbilisi in good time. This leaves time for a long walk through the city. From the old town we go along the famous Rustaveli Avenue with the Georgian Parliament and other important buildings. The way back leads over the Friedensbrücke. Now it's time to pack things for Beate, the taxi is at the door at 1:30. After everything is sorted, we go to dinner and go to bed early. At 1 a.m. the alarm clock rings, I accompany Beate down to the taxi and I'm on my own. First we go back to bed. It should be noted that Beate arrived in Berlin on time in the morning. 9133 km
