Okay guys,
I know it's been a while and I've been in New Zealand for over a week now but I haven't even finished my Bali posts yet. This is partly because I haven't had decent WiFi here (if I had had the time) and partly because there was a lot to do and discover.
Ultimately, there isn't much more to report about Bali and my last days there. Basically, these consisted of a little chilling and lots of delicious food and a surfing lesson the day before my flight to NZ.
(Short interim information: I wrote in detail here what surfing and my last days in Bali were like. Unfortunately, the internet wasn't as good as expected, so due to my displeasure there is now only a super summary!)
I spent the last 2 days in Bali wandering around in cafés and reading my favorite book. I also squeezed in a surfing lesson with a local because I really wanted to surf in Bali, as Bali is pretty well known for that too. The teacher Nengah went surfing with me on a not so well-known beach and it was a real experience with 3 hours in the water. I surfed my first green waves and 3 times I made it back to the beach and even surfed a turn! I'm pretty proud!
After surfing, my body noticed the sun and the exertion and I rewarded myself with a few treats!
In the evening we went to the beach one last time and to my favorite restaurant in this district where I once again ordered delicious tempeh. My absolute discovery next to Mangosteen in this country!
The next day the plane didn't leave until the evening, so I postponed packing until the next day and just fell into bed that evening ready to eat.
I'll tell you more about my wonderful flight experience to NZ in my next post.
Until then, best regards and with that Indonesia - END
Your Britta
