Parrots and a great hike
from today we know what it's like to sit on a 200m high waterfall or on the stones next to it. The view was simply amazing. Let's start from the beginning..On the way to Lamington, we stopped at a lake that was on the way and we were able to take cool photos. When we arrived there, we realized that we had been there before :-D. We thought the last time that this park here is the Tamborine National Park. No idea how we could overlook all the signs saying LAMINGTON NATIONAL PARK in big letters. We were probably just too impressed with the surroundings here. To enter the National Park, you have to drive up a steep mountain for 30 km, but that was no problem for our super car! First point of interest was a 'Bird Photo Area'.. we really didn't expect much of it, we thought maybe we could watch some pretty colorful birds from a distance, but it turned out differently.
You could feed small parrots for free and they were really tame. The nice thing about it was that the cute ones really came to you on their own and were not kept in some kind of cage. After that, we walked the 7 km walk to Moran Falls through the rainforest. 7 km can be really long, but it was definitely worth it :-). A super beautiful view of the mountains and the waterfall. After a short break, we walked back because 7 km can also be really long.
