On Sunday, 16.07, the journey continued towards Normandy, about 360 km away.
In the morning, Steffi did her highlight tour at Roland Garros 🎾. Even though everything seemed Spanish to her, it was a great guided tour from the Center Court to the players' locker rooms.
Afterwards, we made our way to Mont Saint-Michel. It was pleasant that in France there is also a ban on trucks, so we made good progress even though it rained from time to time. In a good mood, we arrived in the afternoon (after a 4.5-hour drive) at the very well laid-out campsite.
Quickly set up chairs and tables and set up the tent. Speaking of setting up the tent. We have a super super tent that is set up in about 5 minutes. Air in at the front and back, 6 pegs in the ground, and the tent stands. The girls manage to argue immediately (everyone on the pitch knows that the HüBo's are there). One screams, the other is immediately offended and wants to leave and screams back, and we big girls have to mediate and try to stay cool and calm (getting better). It is really annoying and I hope it will be less and less every time. After 20 minutes, the tent finally stood.
After dinner, we took the shuttle bus to Mont St. Michel.
A childhood dream came true for Cindy, she had always wanted to see it. As it went steeply and in steps upwards inside, we sent the girls to take photos. It was really impressive and it is not without reason a World Heritage Site. Here is a small selection of pictures.
On Monday, we will make our way to Bretagne.
