What a night. The romantic atmosphere by the campfire quickly came to an end. On the opposite mountainside, you could see the lightning and a rain front slowly moving towards me. I had hoped that it would stay over there, but it kept getting closer. When it started to rain, I took refuge in the tent. I was dozing off when it started to rain heavily. The thoughts now revolved around the waterproofness of my shelter and what if... Helpless... After a while, it subsided and I noticed that a huge puddle had formed under my tent. I dared to take a look outside and everything around me was underwater. Sleeping in the puddle didn't seem possible. So I went outside and looked around the higher parts of the area. I found a flat spot where the water didn't reach. What followed was a move with all my belongings. Shortly after, it started raining heavily again, but I was able to fall asleep. I woke up around 9:30, no rain to be heard. The view of the outside pointed towards a blue sky. I calmly made breakfast and waited for the sun to come out to dry everything. My Polish neighbors even made me a coffee. After 2 hours, the tent was dry. I started cycling around 12:30 in bright sunshine. As if nothing had happened.
