Once again on the Rhine Cycle Path, I cycled upstream towards Lake Constance. Laura spontaneously wanted to visit me there the following day. With a few meters of altitude (but of course nothing compared to Kyrgyzstan), I headed east again. I was able to partly avoid sections of the route that I already knew from 2017, after all, there are two Rhine Cycle Paths here; one on the left and one on the right side.
I cycled through Bad Säckingen and Waldshut to the famous Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen. Of course, it was crowded with tourists here, but I had been here several times before. So this time I didn't need to make the obligatory descent to the viewpoints directly at the waterfalls. There was a campsite right next to Schaffhausen again. As always, I hadn't made a reservation, but luckily I managed to secure the last pitch. The pitch wasn't very cheap, but it had an electrical connection and I was able to take a short swim in the Rhine in the evening (of course not directly at the Rhine Falls!), which had really pleasant temperatures.
