Siena the City of Nannini

We will go to Siena the next day.

Siena is known as the city of the Nannini family of bakers, which also includes the Italian singer Gianna Nannini.

It was raining quite a bit and we quickly lost interest in the city, so it became a cozy afternoon on the bus.

The next morning was freezing cold but absolutely beautiful. We set off early.

We always like to be surprised and wander aimlessly through the city.

And of course, we have a cappuccino at Nannini. Today, Gianna's brother Alessandro runs the company.

There is really a lot to see

Wild boar is especially popular here and often on the menu.

And the Cathedral of Siena is beautiful

Next, we go to Piazza del Campo, where the traditional horse race is held twice a year. Today, it is peaceful and beautiful.

There, we end the day with a small snack.
