The day started in Reykjavík, with a short detour to the Hallgrimskirche, where we met Robert and Anouk's college. I carry my big backpacks and put them in my car and then walk through Reykjavík and leave the city.
After lunch we went to the Secret Lagoon, "the oldest natural pool" in Iceland, right next to the hot spring where it bubbles every few minutes (basically a geyser). The water is nice and warm, compared to the current temperature, and the more you go east, the stronger the wind gets. In some cases you have to be careful that you don't get blown away and in the middle of the week (was standing at the top before 11 o'clock) the shower will come back to haunt you.
The landscape is very, very beautiful, sometimes I drive along the banks of the river and can see for miles over the fields, every now and then you can hear a few horses, horses or chute.
