After the first time on Wednesday, today was the second day of presentations. Some of us had to give our presentation in every block, while others were able to watch American classes in the meantime. After having to give our presentations seven times, we were glad when the day was coming to an end. However, we were mainly surprised by the teachers who listened to our presentation three to four times. I'm sure they could have given the presentation themselves in the end.
In the evening, all the students met with their exchange partners to roast marshmallows and bake stick bread over the campfire. Is there a better way to have a conversation with each other? We definitely took this opportunity and had interesting conversations, ranging from school to free time to politics. The group slowly disbanded around 10 pm. After all, we had to be well-rested for the activities with our host families.
Today was the second presentation day. At the end of this day, every group had given their presentation about six to seven times and we were very happy when school was over for the day. Most of us didn't understand why some of the American teachers wanted us to give the same presentation for several classes. Didn't it annoy them to listen to the same presentation three or four times?
At the end of the day, all the American and German students met at someone's house to eat marshmallows and stick bread by the campfire. Is there a better opportunity to get to know each other? We didn't miss our chance and had interesting conversations about everything, from school to free time and even politics. What a great day.
