Idyllic Voje Valley and Mostnica Gorge

Our last day in the incomparably beautiful Triglav National Park!

Today we hiked a whopping 16 km from our vacation home in Studor to Stara Fuzina, always along the Mostnica, past crystal clear streams, waterfalls, gorges, and lush meadows in Voje Valley. Robert and Tina went back in time 10 years, when they took this route as the ascent to Mount Triglav, which stands at 2864m. The only difference is that there was a sign at today's turning point: '7 hours to Triglav' (and so steep uphill that we could hardly believe we managed all of that in one day back then...)

At the Gostilna at the end of the valley, we ate delicious apple and blueberry strudels and after a short rain shower, we continued on.

In the evening, it was time to shower, cook, pack, and the good thing about our departure tomorrow is that we still have 2 weeks ahead of us!!
