From Lombok to Gili T

From Bali we continued to Lombok, the plan was actually that the whole thing should take about 4 hours. In the end, it took 12 hours from hotel to hotel. It started with us not being able to get a Grab taxi in Ubud and the one we got drove in completely the wrong direction. The ferry took 6 hours instead of 3 and in Lombok there's no Grab at all, which made the journey to the hotel even more adventurous. A guy in a very old van, completely overheated, drove us to the hotel but hey, at least we arrived ;) The next day we rented a scooter and drove up and down the island, from dream beach to dream beach. But because there was nothing else for us there, we continued to Gili Trawangan. Gili T is the perfect island, a mix of party and chill. There are no vehicles or proper roads on the entire island, but you don't need them, the island is so small that you can go around once in 2 hours. Our hotel had its own otter, who enjoyed himself in the pool every day, soooo cute 😍 Every evening there is a food market with everything your heart desires and it's super cheap too ;)

We actually don't know why Bali is still so hyped. Gili T is definitely much cooler ;)
