08.08.2019. On the morning, we headed north almost to the Norwegian border. The weather was cool and rainy in some places, so we skipped stops at the beaches.
In Tanumshede, we visited the Bronze Age rock carvings. These are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. There were many tourists in front of the large rock surface. During a much quieter and very beautiful walk through the forest, we discovered more carvings. Behind the associated museum, a Bronze Age village was reconstructed. Very impressive and very exciting for children.
Afterwards, we continued to Strömstad. The Nordic Camping Strömstad site is terraced and beautifully located with access to a small beach with a diving tower. It was tested in the evening. The Baltic Sea is noticeably saltier here.
