After 1200 kilometers along the coast, the repetition factor becomes too much for us. The tourist coastal towns all look the same, mostly with a lot of architectural sins (high-rise buildings), on the promenades one restaurant follows the next, it repeats itself over and over again. That's why we will make a jump. Long-distance buses and trains are not so bicycle-friendly, so a rental car is also cheaper than train tickets. With different pick-up and drop-off stations, this is only possible between two big cities. One thing I can tell you, the Spanish woman in the navigation system can really swear if you don't drive the way she wants. But she doesn't notice that there are construction sites around the hotel and that I have already passed the departure hotel for the third time. Fortunately, I found the option to switch to German, otherwise I would have snapped at her. So jump from Valencia to Barcelona - explore the city - then continue by bike towards France. This way, we also escape the expected heat wave (>40°C), which only became clear after the planning.
