Our next stop after the beautiful SPA was in a family's home near Tena. We got picked up from the bus terminal there by truck to reach the family's home in the middle of nowhere. Unfortunately it rained quite a lot, nevertheless we found interesting things to do - such as learning about the local family's culture and how to make chocolate!! Delicious! Then we visited the jungle around, which was simply amazing with looooots of green everywhere and some water floating in-between. We learned which plants were healing, poisonous or particularly delicious. Back at the homestay, we got our faces painted with indigenous symbols (mine was the one of the strong women - hehe) and at night time, we ate some yummy fish cooked in the some leaves on the open fire. Afterwards we pretty much fell into bed. The next morning, we visited some waterfalls before it was already time to say bye to the family again and jump onto the bus to the next destination - Itamandi, the jungle EcoLodge!
