The next day we took the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. After the half-hour journey, we went to the beach. Unfortunately, the waves were quite strong there, so we continued to the slightly more protected Shelly Beach. This beach certainly deserves its name, as instead of sand, there are shells. After a quick lunch, we continued through the national park. It was very exhausting in nearly 40 degrees heat. We had to be careful not to accidentally walk into one of the giant spiders that were over 10 cm in size. But in the end, we were rewarded with a fantastic view of the skyline! We headed back home at dusk.
