Granada - a beautiful colonial city

We went directly from Ometepe to Granada. After some initial difficulties, we arrived well in Granada. We came across a beautiful hostel with two cozy courtyards. Hammocks everywhere invite you to relax and there is even a small pool. Including breakfast buffet, one night costs 8 euros. A bargain.

But now to Granada. The Spaniards originally wanted to show with this city that they are not only militarily strong, but also prove their architectural skills. They definitely succeeded. Granada is one of the most beautiful places on our trip. The central point of the city is the Central Park with the Iglesia de la Merced (= the famous orange cathedral). After a walk through the city and down to the lake, we climbed a church tower to enjoy the beautiful view. If anyone has the chance to visit this beautiful city, you should not miss this opportunity.
