Explored Chinatown on our own: Colorful, chaotic, bustling, exotic, foreign, poor but also beautiful almond-eyed beauties. However, if you're not careful, you can easily be ripped off as a tourist: Beer: 23 Singapore dollars, Hamburger with fries: 28 Singapore dollars, about 15 euros (Moritz waited for his super handmade burger for about 30 minutes and it didn't taste good at all...). Where the locals eat, beer only costs one third and a meal for two people is only 10 Singapore dollars: Worth it! Although you often don't know what you're eating, it somehow adds to the charm, and it keeps you full for a long time and is of course super healthy ;-)
After a guided walk through Chinatown would have cost around 15 euros per person, we decided to explore the terrace park: Fort Canning, with its huge Tarzan liana trees on our own. After that, we were completely sweat-soaked again.
The climate is really not for us Europeans! We were glad when we were back in our small family hotel room with air conditioning!
