Rest day

A day of rest on the stormy Indian Ocean came at just the right time. The alarm goes off at 5:30 a.m. to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Despite a thick layer of clouds on the horizon, it was indescribable to see the big red ball rising, bare feet in the cold sand and the windy sea air around your ears, watching the spectacle arm in arm.

In the afternoon we went hiking a bit and took a small motorized boat to an arm of the river. Afterwards we were able to walk through the village there while Isaac, who lives there, told us a little about village life. Before the indescribably delicious fish buffet in the evening, there was one or two rounds of billiards.
