Kandy - Kithulgala - Hatton

Spontaneously, we decided one morning in Kandy to make a detour to a water sports center in Kithulgala, which was close to our planned route. There, we booked a canyoning trip with 'Raftingteam 39' and were not disappointed. It was great! I particularly liked the beautiful pools and the wonderfully warm water.

Afterwards, we continued to Hatton. As we climbed higher and higher, we saw the first tea plantations (I didn't even know that tea plants are bushes) and even pine trees.

In Hatton, we spent one night at the Hill Cool Hotel. The hotel is simple, but tidy and offers a nice view of the nearby tea plantations.

The dinner at the hotel's restaurant was (as almost always) good and plentiful. However, since a (expensive) license is required to sell beer, the restaurant does not have beer. Nevertheless, our request was fulfilled and beer was brought from a beer shop. It may not be cold, but at least it won't get warm when I take longer to drink it :)

Today, we are having a cozy evening at the hotel. We will do some reading and plan the next day.
