Today, El Capitan visited a total of 3 islands.
At each island, we had the opportunity to swim or snorkel. There was enough equipment on board. In between, sunbathe, relax, read, do nothing... can be quite nice too.
On the way, we stopped at one of the islands to buy fish from a local fishing family. Mono and the captain went off in the dinghy and came back after 10 minutes with bonito, a type of tuna. So dinner will be fish, we're looking forward to it.
By the way, the other people on our boat are all fine. Of course, everyone has their quirks, but so do we. Our friend from Austria, who is our neighbor in the single cabin on starboard side, is let's say: a bit special 😜
She works in gastronomy and as a yoga instructor. She also crochets dream catchers; Aaaaaha!... at least my brain gives up here. She is really nice, but somehow I feel like she gets in her own way all day long. She is mainly afraid: of sand fleas, of sharks, of crabs, of octopuses, and so on and so forth. Supposedly, she has already been bitten by fleas and nibbled on by various fish during her trip. I assume her next vacation will take place in Carinthia or Tyrol 🤣
The funniest couple is the pair from England: Charly and Alley. Both are in their mid-20s. He looks like a super nerd and listens to music that I listened to in my (!) youth. She knows every Spice Girls song by heart and has the pair fully organized. You always have something to laugh about when they are around. They are on a ten-month trip through South and Central America. They are using a sabbatical for that.
