From Hakone, we continued to Tokyo, the capital of Japan. Upon arrival, we immediately immersed ourselves in a different world at the teamLab Planets museum. Here, the artworks change near people and interact with them. ✨🌺🖼️📷

In the evening, we walked home with a view of the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈

In addition to the classic highlights such as the Meiji Shrine, Yoyogi Park, and Shibuya Crossing, we especially enjoyed strolling through the different neighborhoods to get to know Japanese culture the best. 🌆

There is something for everyone here, from cat cafes 🐱, maid cafes 👚, Pokemon cafes 🎮 to vampire cafes 🧛. However, we preferred to indulge in smoothie bowls and other delicacies. Of course, we couldn't miss tasting Japanese food.

In the evening, the bustling neighborhoods of Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Akihabara are particularly impressive with their neon signs. 💡

After our last multi-day trip to Nikko, we returned to Tokyo for one more night.

Here, we relaxed and enjoyed delicious food with the best view before flying back to Germany after over 6 months (or 27 weeks or 189 days).
