Continuation of the sightseeing tour through Singapore

Foilsithe: 10.01.2019

Today, we were once again surprised by the weather and when we went outside, we realized that it was sunny. We had agreed that Nora would choose an excursion first and then me. Her choice was the aquarium, which is also located on Sentosa Island. We already knew the way, so we went straight there. It was a good choice, not too crowded, pleasant temperature, and there was a lot to see. Among other things, we saw Bruce, the shark from "Finding Nemo," in the Shark Tank. They really looked alike! And Dory and Nemo were also swimming there! Funny, it seems like everyone knows Nemo. No matter which country they're from, you could hear all parents saying "Nemo" to their children. :)

Here's a little anecdote: in the building, there were signs in front of the individual aquariums asking visitors to turn off the flash when taking photos. Of course, that's somehow self-evident. But then, right next to it, cotton candy with a really bright flashing stick was being sold... and who was really into it? Of course, the Chinese people! :))) They walked around the entire building with it, standing in front of all the aquariums, flashing even worse than 10 camera flashes combined! That's some logic! Besides, who needs brightly flashing cotton candy?!?!?

After our visit there, we strolled around the island for a bit, and I treated myself to a delicious coffee while Nora had ice cream. Then it was my turn to choose an excursion, so we headed to the Cloud Forest. This is a kind of artificially created rainforest where you can walk high above the trees. Quite impressive. Just around the corner, the light show took place again today, which is now part of the daily program :) After that, I had to feed a hungry child again. Fortunately, we discovered a food court nearby. Our selection today included Asian noodles with fresh vegetables in mushroom sauce, fries, and sushi :) And all of this for less than 13€. So, you can also eat relatively cheaply in Singapore.

On the way back home, we met some Germans on the train. Surprisingly, I haven't noticed many Germans here so far. Anyway, the family had a girl with them, and Nora and she immediately got along and spent the 10 minutes on the train together.

When we got off at our stop around 9:30 pm, I also noticed that there was a lot going on in Little India in the evening. People take to the streets, the bars are open, and it's just bustling. It's already too late today, but maybe tomorrow evening we'll explore our neighborhood.
