Ecuador/Galapagos Islands - Day 7 - Floreana Island

Right after breakfast, we took a speedboat for about 2 hours towards Floreana Island. Suddenly, there were a lot of dolphins swimming around our boat and even swam in front of the boat like in a movie. Amazing way to start the day!

On the island, we walked to a small secluded beach to go snorkeling. While snorkeling, we saw many turtles, stingrays, fish, etc. And this time, we even spotted swimming penguins that we had already seen on the coast while hiking.

After that, we had lunch at a restaurant on the 150-people island. After getting refreshed, we took a bus to the highlands to hike to a fresh water spring. Of course, there were many giant tortoises again! The spring provides fresh water continuously even though it hasn't rained for almost 9 months... Then we went to a natural labyrinth, a cave where two Germans used to live (the first settlers on Floreana), and a stone-carved face. Very diverse!

In the evening, we returned via speedboat.
