Norway is changing - cycling is getting better

Norway seems to have recognized the importance of cyclists. In the past few days, we have ridden many new bike paths, especially on busy roads, new bike paths have been created and old bike paths have been resurfaced.

Our 2013 outdoor book still describes many gravel roads and cycling on busy roads. We are really surprised at what has happened here. The signage has been newly and extensively improved in many places - no comparison to Norway.

Yesterday and today we rode through a predominantly agricultural area, a lot of vegetable cultivation. The proportion of agricultural land in Norway is very low. Hardly any winter grain, many farmers are only now starting to cultivate the fields.

The WEATHER is simply awesome, almost too warm to cycle at noon.

Tomorrow, May 17th, is the National Day of the Norwegians, we have treated ourselves to a Swedish flag for our trailer... Car drivers honk and hold a flag out the window... let's see what awaits us tomorrow.
