Two weeks in Australia already over...

Foilsithe: 20.03.2017

Now our 2 weeks in Darwin are already over. Tonight we are flying to Bali. There we will take a vacation (eating, snorkeling, hiking, etc.) and on 07.04. we will fly back to Darwin.

In the last few days we have slept a lot, eaten, swam in the pool and talked to people. We parked our car at the former owner's carport until we return from Bali.

Today we can only chill on the terrace in the hostel, as we had to leave the room at 10 o'clock. Luckily we still have some food left, because there is nothing to eat on the plane or we could not select gluten-free. We have reserves with us, which are durable and do not spoil without refrigeration (almost everything here) except --> chips, chips and wet bits (crispbread with fruits). We already miss the great selection of gluten-free food, especially the bread is a dream here. Moreover, it is much easier in Australia than in Germany, everyone knows what is important, even in the breakfast TV there are very good reports about it. There is also gluten-free pizza, burgers, sandwiches everywhere... so far we were just too stingy and cooked ourselves. We are curious about what we will find to eat in Bali, we have translated the most important words.

We just calculated what our cost of living is here. We spent $25 per day for food and drinks for two people here. So we are the most frugal German backpackers here, they spend between $20 - $50 per person per day. Especially alcohol and cigarettes ($40 per pack) are not cheap, but it doesn't bother most people here and is added to the daily budget.

We are going to quickly eat a few sandwiches with tomatoes and tuna before we go to the airport.... We will update you from Bali. ❤
