End of tourists - time to explore off the beaten path!
My destination was the temple complex of Preah Vihear in northern Cambodia on the border with Thailand. For the whole trip, I spent 3 hours in a minivan, 2x2 hours with nine (!) people in a Toyota Camry (sedan/5-seater), and another 2x1 hour on a motorcycle taxi.
After the previous day at Angkor Wat, the temple complex was secondary for me. What fascinated me more was the unique view from the cliff edge at an altitude of 650m. And it was worth all the effort!
