During the day, the sun and clouds alternate, in the evening it becomes cloudy
We say goodbye to Rob and Therese, who have shared their knowledge about the northern lights with us on many evenings. It was a very nice and friendly contact, so the farewell was a bit nostalgic.
But now something completely new begins for both of us, from today we are traveling into the unknown, to areas where we have not been before and do not know what to expect.
First, we leave the Vesterale "on the left" and after about an hour we take the first break, we take the bikes out of the car and drive from Raften to Digermulen, along Raftsund. The path winds up and down the mountains for 15 km, always in sight of the water. We try to find the entrance to the Trollfjord, it can only be seen briefly between two islands.
After the bike tour, we enjoy our lunch break at the now empty motorhome parking lot before we continue our way to Harstad, we still have to catch a ferry.
We move into our small holiday apartment with a view of a fjord, take a walk along the water to find a nice viewpoint for the northern lights. But today's weather also foils our plans, despite different reports from yr.no, it remains cloudy, so we stay in the apartment and go to bed early.
