The time here in North Goa has passed quickly. How was the beginning?
Saying goodbye to the Ayurveda hotel and the Ashram.
The flight from Bangalore to Goa was really good. Arrived in Goa, our taxi driver was immediately there for us and off we went on a 1 1/2 hour drive to the previously booked accommodation. Ooooh, where have we landed, in the middle of nowhere and our room was totally dirty. That was an awakening :-)
We didn't want to stay like this. Said and done, that's what the internet and Booking.com are for:-)
Accommodation found and inspected the next day. I can tell you, such a great resort we found. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The facility was nice and tidy. The best thing about it, two steps across the street and we're already at the beach. 👌😋
So we spent the whole week here in the town of "Morijim". Chilling at the beach, shopping at the beach and thereby supporting the local people. Yoga on the beach every morning, breakfast by the sea, and philosophizing about life. 🥰
Life is so awesome. 💥
Many things here touch my heart deeply, like the fishermen who bring their boats into the water every morning and evening with great effort and pull them back ashore to make a living.
One morning I was there, some people stood around the boat with their bags, which aroused my curiosity about the fishermen's catch. My phone, ready to shoot photos, in my hand, I walked purposefully towards the boat. Then I saw the catch, a few small fish swimming around in the boat, and in the net there were some small fish. I was shocked, should these people make a living out of this? And a couple even haggled over the price of the fish they purchased. All of this deeply touched me. 😢
I have encountered several things like this in India.
On the other hand, life here is much more about shared experiences, including with nature.
Cows walk on the beach and on the road, dogs run around everywhere and sleep, including the cows, on the roadside. Cars drive in any direction, and birds in the sky grab the leftovers from the fishermen. Live and let live.
I am deeply grateful for my life, how I am able to live. 🙏🙏 No matter how we are doing financially and socially in Europe, compared to the people here, we are millionaires. Even our animals, they live in paradise with us.
We have already reached a high level on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Most of us can already deal with our individual needs and think about self-realization, and I don't even have to think about it anymore, I can actually realize myself. 🎁
On Friday, we will go to South Goa for a week, let's see what awaits us there.
I wish you all a wonderful time and see you soon.
Yours sincerely, Heike
