On the last day at sea, the weather is enjoyable again. The sun is shining from the sky and the temperatures allow us to go on deck without a jacket(s) again.
In the morning, we meet Carola and her father on the ship for (probably) the last time. We had already met them a few days ago, still at our first stop in Iceland during an excursion to a crater. Carola and her father are from Karlsruhe and the starting point for getting to know each other was the ignorance of how to pay the parking fee.
From the brief conversation, multiple meetings on the ship ensued, and with the same ideas about vacations, their planning, and the desire to explore individually, we quickly came together and it was fun to talk to and be with them.
So today we exchanged some more in-depth conversations and then said goodbye with the intention of staying in touch.
In the afternoon, we take a few more laps around the sun-drenched deck. Many people are now lying on the sun loungers or splashing around in the pool, and the atmosphere seems even better than before. What a few rays of sunshine can do...
And we see clear signs that we must be near land. On the horizon, many large and small ships are sailing. We have rarely experienced this kind of company on the water...
