I had a great sleep and woke up early. I went for breakfast shortly after 7am. I was feeling good and still feel wonderful, even though it may not come across in my videos. Because every time I make a statement on WhatsApp Status, I get concerned messages: "Are you really okay? You didn't look so good!"
After a few days, I'm leaving Finland today and heading to Sweden. Since Åland is an island, I'll need to take a ferry again. The easiest way would be to go directly from Mariehamn to Stockholm. But I prefer to get back on my original route, in the northern part of the island. From there, there's a ferry that takes only 2 hours to the mainland of Sweden.
I checked out, packed up my bike, and started riding at 8:15 am. It didn't take long and Mariehamn was already behind me, with beautiful landscapes ahead. I love these Nordic landscapes, even though it's colder than the south. It's ideal for cycling.
I quickly covered the almost 40 kilometers and therefore arrived at the ferry much too early, as it only leaves at 1:30 pm. This not only means changing countries, but also changing time. Only Finland is an hour ahead in time. So I gain back the hour that I lost on the ferry from Travemünde to Helsinki.
