Since forensic medicine was on the schedule this week, and I didn't want to attend, I took it easy the past two days. I went to the station alone and tried to shadow a doctor and learn something. However, it turned out to be difficult because the resident doctors don't do any teaching, they mostly ignore you.. On Tuesday, we had a power outage almost the entire day, so we sat on our terrace to at least catch some breeze in the heat. Yesterday, I went to the Botanical Garden in Aburi with a friend. There were no flowers in the garden, only palm trees and other trees, but it was very beautiful! We enjoyed the tranquility, the nature, and the cleanliness. During lunch, we sat in the garden listening to the birds and chatting. The atmosphere was really refreshing! On the way back, we passed by a craft village where we could buy sculptures, paintings, and masks. After browsing around, we took the trotro back to Accra for another 2 hours and then went straight to Salsa (Wednesday is salsa night!).
