Yesterday we slept in and then went to the trotro station towards Ada Foah around 11 o'clock. When we arrived at the hotel, no one was there and we were afraid that everything had gone wrong with the reservation again. Luckily, 30 minutes later a group of tourists arrived and the housekeeper also appeared. At first she said that all regular rooms were full and we had to stay in a 4-person room. That wouldn't have been so bad either. But then one of the travelers said that she had to leave at short notice and the one room would be available immediately - with a great view of the beach!😍 The room itself is nice, except that the water doesn't work well in general (no toilet flush, no shower, no tap). We have already adjusted our standards - nothing can easily shock us anymore😅🙈
Simon and I walked to the beach. It's such a shame! The Ghanaian beaches would be so beautiful without all the garbage!! This is probably washed up from Accra here.. And unfortunately you can't swim in the sea here either, as the waves are too high and the undertow is quite strong..
Since there were only four of us left in the hotel, we quickly got in touch with the others: a father from Belgium (~50 years old) and a geologist (~30). We chatted a lot and it was nice to hear their stories! They also organized a barbecue with fish and chicken + yam chips. Delicious!! After dinner we went to a bar that had a pool table. Beer, chatting, playing pool - it was a lot of fun! Simon and I then fell tired into bed.
