After finding a campsite near our workplace yesterday, we were exhausted, cooked ourselves something delicious to eat, and went to 'sleep'. Why in quotation marks? Because I couldn't sleep a minute in 32 degrees at night! Then at 4:45 in the morning, the alarm clock rang, got up, brushed teeth, got dressed for work. Ready to go, at 5:15 the farmer sends a text saying sorry, we can't work today, it's too hot. I was already looking forward to it, but what followed for the next few hours was absolute hell! 43 degrees! The wind burned all over my body, I took 4 showers, just stood under cold water for 20 minutes! I splashed myself with water every 5 minutes and put my sandals in the water and put them back on, hoping to cool down a little. No chance! It was unbearable, you just hoped to get through this day. It's already 7 pm and still around 30 degrees, but you could already look forward to that if you checked your phone every 30 minutes to see when the horror would finally end! On Monday, the work is finally going to start. The weather is supposed to cool down a bit in the next few days. We have already found a new free place for tomorrow, which is even closer to work.
By the way, on the way here I actually saw the first kangaroos 😍 unfortunately it was while driving, so I couldn't take a photo, but it definitely wasn't the last time 🙈
