Down South...

Publisearre: 15.01.2019

Our paths separated for a few days from Hoi An, as I wanted to go to Hue and Jule quickly headed to the south, to the warmer weather. Unfortunately, the weather in Hue was still bad, but as they say, there is no bad weather, only bad clothing :) What drew me to Hue was an abandoned water park. It's actually closed, but with a little bribe, you can easily get in. I was a bit scared and it just so happened that I went with someone I met at the hostel. Since this water park was only 10km away, I decided to rent a scooter. After the accident, this was the first time again, and it was super exciting because I suddenly ended up in the middle of Vietnamese traffic. But it worked out and I was really proud, and somehow it's also fun to drive in this organized chaos. But don't worry, I won't do that again so soon. When we arrived at the water park, we gave some money to the guard and then we could relax and look around.

It's really a bit spooky, but totally cool.

In the evening, there was a family dinner in the hostel and even half an hour of Vietnamese lessons. Toi la Larissa ;) - all the dots and apostrophes are missing, but at least! In addition, one word can have different meanings with different diacritical marks. That was super exciting.
But I didn't stay in Hue for long and went to Jule in Dalat, which is quite far south and has nice, pleasant, warm temperatures. Since it is at an altitude of about 1500m, it's not super hot, but it's definitely bearable with sunshine and an average temperature of 20 degrees :) In Dalat, among other things, we went with a cable car to a large lake.

With Aisha, another German girl we met at our hostel, I (Jule got sick for a few days) took an old train to a pagoda.

When Jule was feeling better, we continued and went to Mui Ne. It's by the sea again and it's hot! 30 degrees! Finally :)) I stowed away my down jacket and for the first few days, we relaxed and chilled a lot. We stayed at a terrible party hostel with pools for €2 per night... Although the value for money is insane, except for the party program every evening. But you don't have to join in every nonsense ;) On our last day, we took a tour to the sand dunes and more.
First, we went to the Fairy Stream, which is a small stream that you can walk along.
Then we went to the harbor of the city. Lots of fishing boats...

Next stop were the White Sand Dunes. For someone who has never seen anything like it, it was simply wow!

For the sunset and the last destination, we went to the Red Sand Dunes. It was incredibly amazing, but see for yourself :)

We weren't the only ones ;)
This is what a happy and carefree Larissa looks like :)

And with that, see you soon! :)
