And now what? Hop on the City Hopper
It's already the second day in Brisbane and we somehow didn't really know what to do anymore... it was partly sunny and it rained every now and then. Well, we still wanted to go to the Lagoon and just bathed in the rain :-D, it wasn't a big deal.
Anyway, we occasionally looked for a job but we agreed that if nothing basically 'falls into our lap' then we will only work again when we are in Perth.
Steffie and Flori have also settled in Brisbane and work. We learned from them that there is a ferry in Brisbane (City Hopper) that allows you to cruise through the harbor for free. =) oh and not to forget, we had placed an ad for a job on Facebook in the 'Backpacker Australia' group and a guy named Tom contacted us, he said he's currently working in a Christmas shop and they could maybe use a couple extra hands there. We didn't hesitate for long and thought 'why not give it a try'.
So off we went to Ashgrove to Real Christmas Trees. A really cute shop and really nice people there.
The HR manager told us she couldn't guarantee anything but if they need someone, they will call us. Well, better than nothing. That evening we tried out the City Hopper and luckily it didn't rain! So perfect weather, clear sky and we started in daylight and on the way back we could admire the lights of the bridge and the skyline in the darkness. After that, we actually wanted to go to the movies but there was nothing interesting showing... next to the cinema, however, was a small arcade like the Timezone in Perth :-) after spending some time there, we went back to our campsite.
