With Sydney we reached our last destination. Hard to believe that it was already this far. Time flew by. Here we wanted to spend the last three days, namely Day 124, 125 and 126. Day 127 was then a pure travel day back to Germany.
We had a very nice time in the last few days and were at Milk Beach, which offered a magnificent view of the Sydney skyline in front of a really beautiful sunset. We also visited the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge and the famous Bondi Beach, visited Luna Park and the Fish Market. When we arrived in Sydney, we were initially not so enthusiastic about the city. It also forms a clear contrast to Melbourne - the houses are older, the people more stressed and there is generally a high degree of business. Whereas Melbourne appears younger and hipper. However, with every minute we spent in Sydney and got to know the city better, we liked it better and that of course made the farewell also not easier.
So on 28.03.2019 the journey home began. I don't think I need to mention it, but it came too fast... ;-)
When we look back on the 127 days, we can say that we had a great time. We are grateful that everything worked out so wonderfully - of course, a few things went wrong. But on the whole, everything worked out as we wanted it to: we never lost our luggage on our 9 flights (with stopovers), we never lost anything at all on the whole trip, we were never robbed, our money lasted well, we didn't have to interrupt the trip, we got to meet interesting people from all over the world, we got to visit a lot of unique places in this world, our rental cars always stayed loyal to us, we saw orangutans, dolphins, koalas, kangaroos, sharks and many other exciting animals in the wild, we climbed active volcanoes and came back from them in one piece, we learned a little bit of surfing, I went skydiving and Mario went paragliding. We swam in the clearest waters and seas in the world and sunbathed on the whitest beaches, we saw picturesque sunsets and explored fascinating areas, we tried culinary worlds and much more... Every cent was definitely worth this trip and to all of you who still follow this blog, we hope you enjoyed going on this journey with us and collecting some impressions and enjoying this great earth with us.
