When we wake up, we wonder why Lucy is still not awake - as it turns out, she was partying until 04:00. We start the day with coffee, breakfast, and a game.
Since my swim trunks were stolen on Koh Rong, we have decided to buy a new one from the countless street vendors here - of course, branded, 100% authentic, and original. After struggling with aggressive sellers for half an hour, we end up with a nice, shy woman who offers me a pair in my size. We negotiate it down to 3.30€ and make the purchase.
With the firm plan to inaugurate the swim trunks, we go to the beach and once again see a daunting surf that doesn't necessarily invite swimming. Furthermore, it's quite hot in the sun, so we desperately look for a place in the shade - in vain. When we ask the beach vendor about the price of a double sunbed with an umbrella, he answers, '200,000 Rupiah'. After quickly converting the price in our heads, we have no choice but to leave in outrage - 13€ for a two-hour stay on a rubber mat in the shade. No thanks!
After a slightly longer walk along the beach, we finally find a shady spot next to a small beach pavilion. We spend 2 hours there reading, playing, and Jonna even dares to go into the restless water.
On the way back, we decide not to walk along the main road, but to take the longer but perhaps more interesting way through the small alleys, which leads to us getting lost multiple times or maneuvering into dead ends.
When we finally arrive home, we immediately turn on the gas stove and prepare some food - pasta with tomato-tuna sauce. Very hungry, we eat the entire portion of noodles (500g dry weight), play a few more rounds, and then go to bed satisfied.
