So, the last two days I've been pretty busy. My GS needed its annual service (10,000km) even though I only had 6,500km on the clock. The tires could have easily done another 3-4 thousand kilometers, but not the estimated 7,000 kilometers for the trip. So I called my motorcycle dealer Prinz near Aalen and explained my crazy plan to him that I want to leave for the North Cape on Sunday. With gritted teeth, the boss agreed to fit my bike in between. New tires, new brake fluid, and the annual inspection. All done, thanks again to Peter and the whole team there. On the way back, a friend asked if we wanted to have a beer together, of course I couldn't say no. He is also a GS rider and is very happy with his "Tripple Black". Kindly, he lent me his small Touratec box with a BMW tool set that is attached next to the left case. It even fit a small first aid kit and the reflective vest, great and thanks again to Armin. Later, I wrote a packing list of all the things I need on the laptop, printed it out, packed it up, and put it away. Now the bike is fully fueled and ready to travel in the garage. Tomorrow morning at 6:00 am it's supposed to start. 750 km, just thinking about it already makes my butt hurt. Hopefully I'll be able to send a message from the ferry.
See you later!!!!
