SUPPLY SITUATION

The captain summarizes our supply situation as follows: As already known, our food containers for San Antonio were stuck in Lima. Now the containers for Papeete are also late, because the interruption of the supply chains due to the corona has a full impact here. The locally purchased food cannot compensate for this by far. AIDA Cruises has therefore chartered a cargo plane that flies food from Frankfurt via the USA to Papeete. The plane will only arrive in Tahiti on December 16th. This has consequences for our route.

IMPACT ON THE ROUTE

We will call at Papeete, Moorea and Bora Bora according to plan. However, we will have to return to Papeete again to accept the food from the charter aircraft on December 16th and 17th. After that, we will go directly to Suva, Fiji to continue the journey as planned. Unfortunately, we have to cancel Raratonga, Cook Islands and Nuku'alofa, Tonga.

Without this additional cargo, we will not be able to ensure the supply on board until Sydney. We only have 90 tonnes of food in stock.
