Visit to the neighboring islands.

Today I went to the neighboring island Gili Meno (previously Gili Trawangan). The entire island was pretty deserted, only permanently inhabited by mosquitoes, even during the day. I had never experienced such a plague before. I got a tour at the hostel. Different themes in the rooms, treehouse style. There was a grandmother room with old-fashioned wallpapers, for example.

After exploring the island, having lunch on the beach, and taking a dip in the sea, I returned to the hostel. In the afternoon, we had to collect trash on the beach. In the evening, we played UNO together.

The next day, I directly went to the next island called Gili Air. It was busier here again. I ended up getting an overpriced ticket back to Bali, but at least I got a few tips for the island Flores, where I planned to go after Bali.

I circled the island again, everything was deserted. Almost every restaurant had no guests at all. I was told that it had never been so empty before. Despite the rainy season, there is usually more going on. In the evening, I actually walked around half the island again just to go to this restaurant. The owner was just so nice and I wanted to support him. Besides, the food was amazing!

The next morning, I walked to the port, had my transfer back to Bali. The boat was late. At least this time I didn't feel as sick as on the way there. I was then dropped off at my hostel near the airport. Tomorrow I will only go to Flores with hand luggage. So I had to buy some small toiletries.
