It brings a smile to my face when I think about my daily experiences.
In Paleochora, I set off early and hiked to Anidri Beach. You can hike upward through the Anidri Gorge to the village of the same name. This small gorge is just as gorgeously steep as the big ones, just much smaller. You follow the dry riverbed upward and encounter climbing spots where there would normally be a waterfall. The hike takes about an hour, it's beautifully shady, and everything is green and blooming. So if you don't get a craving for gorges here and feel like exploring the big ones, then you're resistant.
Up in Anidri, there is a restaurant. They were already busy preparing lunch and it all looked very inviting. However, I was way too early and didn't want to wait for two and a half hours. There's always room for improvement 😁. The journey continued along the Libyan Sea with its deep blue and turquoise colors, through bush landscapes, and always the scent of wild thyme. This section had more traffic. I encountered many hikers, but they all seemed stressed. I felt great. In Lissos, there was also some commotion at the beginning. But I endured it. In the evening, it became very quiet and lonely here. I set up my camp and enjoy the view of the sea between the towering cliffs.
