New day, new luck for us today. Motivated, everyone had a Nutella sandwich before hitting the streets of New York.
First stop, the Fire Department Shop. A must-visit for every firefighter 😉
After striking up a conversation with a firefighter from here in the store, he showed us an exclusive room where children are trained for fire incidents. We saw various examples such as an overloaded extension cord, food on the stove, or a heater covered with blankets. The highlight for Cinzia and Martín was trying on the American firefighting uniform.
Impressed by the store and with a shopping bag in hand, we headed to the Empire State Building at noon. Today, with a pre-booked time slot, we went straight to the 86th floor without waiting in line.
New York during the day... indescribable once again.
Since we didn't make it to the 9/11 Museum yesterday, we were determined to visit it today. Hurry, hurry to the subway towards the museum... no chance, all tickets for today are sold out. This can't be true. So, we had to come up with plan B again!
We took the subway towards Little Italy and China Town. We had exactly 1.5 hours to explore the neighborhood.
Between the alleyways, everyone got a souvenir before heading back to the World Trade Observatory.
Without a long line, we stood by the elevators. 50 seconds to the 100th floor.
Just in time for the sunset!
Quickly taking some pictures for memories and our community, and then it was time to go down 100 floors again.
To end the day, everyone had a plate of pasta, and just like that, the second to last day was over.
Good night to Germany 😘
