After feeling a bit uncomfortable in our 'casual' clothes at the university, we decided to buy at least 2-3 basics that don't make us look like we're just here for sightseeing and traveling :-D
We reached the shopping mall about an hour away (about 20 minutes from where our apartment will be) with UBER and paid about 2€. Compared to Europe, the taxi prices here are so incredibly cheap that it's almost embarrassing to pay so little for such a long distance.
Well, anyway, the mall had everything your heart desires - Zara, H&M, MAC,... really everything. There you can see the big big difference between the rich and the poor again - 2km away people are starving and in the shopping center people are spending a lot of money on branded clothes.
I'm starting to process everything slowly and the culture shock is setting in... I'm curious to see how it goes from here.
