Golf ⛳️ in Pont Royal

Today we have the most beautiful golf weather. Lots of sunshine and a pleasant temperature. Exactly the right day to play a round of golf.

The Pont Royal golf course in Provence is a renowned 18-hole golf course and part of the Domaine et Golf de Pont Royal resort. It is one of the best courses in southern France.

The golf course was designed by Spanish golf legend Severiano Ballesteros and opened in 1992. It is the only course designed by Ballesteros in France, giving it a special exclusivity.

 18 holes, par 72 with a length of about 6,300 meters. The course is set in the hilly landscape of Provence and offers varied holes that require both precision and distance. The fairways are often lined with pine forests, lakes, and strategically placed bunkers, which turned into a real challenge with the rising wind.

Signature Hole: The 11th hole is particularly famous, as it features an island green that requires precise play and is played over a gorge. You also enjoy a stunning view.

The golf course offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, the Luberon massif, and the Alpilles. The landscape is typical for Provence and includes pine, oak, and olive trees.

There are several water hazards fed by the natural rivers and lakes of the region.

Despite the unfamiliar terrain, we both played very well and below our handicaps. In the end, there was a nice reward from the Patisserie Bechard.
