THE DAY STARTS DELICIOUS
After checking out, I take the bus (what else?) to Keitum. Thanks to all the tip givers, Keitum is rightly considered one of the most beautiful places on Sylt and in all of North Frisia. Everywhere you can see pretty houses with thatched roofs and very elaborately planted gardens.
One of them was also my morning destination: The 'Kleine Teestube', where I could finally and for the first time drink real Frisian Assam tea with rock sugar and cream. Delicious! I repeated that many times in the next few days. Actually every afternoon. With cake. And cream on the cake. Treat yourself, right!
Just before Kampen, it started pouring rain. The famous 'Kupferkanne' (a café, I wanted cake!) was full, so I went straight - by bus - without visiting the place - to List, the northernmost end of Sylt. I didn't see any celebrities either. But many very expensive-looking thatched roof houses without nameplates on the mailbox or doorbell ;-).
THE LUXURY CAN BEGIN
I have 2 nights at the A-ROSA Hotel waiting for me. The one in Kitzbühel has always made my heart beat faster because of its beautiful wellness area and delicious food. And here in Sylt it should be the same, good decision!
Before dinner, I went to Voigts again - thanks for the tip! - because I was in calorie deficit after all the strenuous running in the rain ;-). An established café in the middle of List. I put on a bib there. And in this funny outfit (fortunately most people around me looked just as silly!) I waited for my giant cream puff with strawberries, vanilla ice cream and cream . It was so good! I would come back to Sylt anytime just for that. Yummy!
AND TOMORROW...
We will keep hiking. This time along the 'Ellenbogen', further, and even further, and further...
