Our today's day was all about toys. After trying it for the third time, we finally made it into the famous toy store FAO Schwarz. The line in front of the door was still there, but much shorter than before Christmas. We looked around thoroughly in the store, admired the life-sized stuffed animals, strolled past the floor piano, and were amazed by the huge candy packaging. We then continued to the Lego Store. Ceiling-high boxes with individual Lego bricks and gigantic Lego structures. Even the Rockefeller Center with Christmas tree and ice skating rink was on display. All good things come in threes. And that was the Nintendo store. On display was a collection of game consoles, from ancient to brand new, and a Game Boy that suffered a bit in the Gulf War but still works. Of course, you could buy everything from t-shirts, to stuffed animals, to games. We left all the toys in their store places, because space in our luggage is already tight.
