Day 2 Koh Lanta

After having scrambled eggs for breakfast at the hostel, we took a taxi to the pier in Phuket today. From there, we took a speedboat to Koh Lanta.

In Koh Lanta, we took a tuktuk to the hostel that we booked yesterday.

But when we arrived, they told us that the hostel was fully booked and didn't know why we were able to book yesterday. A bit annoyed, we were told to wait for the owner, but then some other dude came and said he had a free room somewhere else. Well... After hesitating for a moment, we jumped on the back of his pickup truck (so that we could jump off if necessary).

He took us to another accommodation, which was an absolute upgrade compared to the one we originally booked. Sometimes things turn out better than planned!

After asking where we could rent a scooter, the woman who accompanied us to the accommodation left her scooter there. Okay, that was easy :)

That's where we had dinner.

Back in our new hood, we quickly stepped onto the beach to watch the sunset.

We ended the evening in a beach bar with Katha's acquaintances and, because it was so beautiful, we also let one of those lantern things fly :)
