'Welcome to Lima' is probably the sentence you hear most in the capital of Peru, which has a population of nearly eight million. No one can pass by this city, as almost every trip to Peru begins here. Our stay in Lima was only two days, but we were still able to get a clear picture of the city. You can find high-rise buildings alongside neglected shantytowns and wealthy neighborhoods with expensive boutiques and European standards. This city is one of many where the gap between rich and poor is very large. And so you will find thousands of street vendors trying to earn a few soles with everything they have. They sell absolutely everything. In addition, there is absolute traffic chaos and a constant noise level that pushes you to your limits. And let's not forget the colonial-style city center. Lima is definitely a city with many facets. For us, these two exciting days are coming to an end, as cities are more of a challenge for us. So we are looking forward to the flight to Cuzco - the city of the Incas.
