26-29.12. Samoa

After breakfast, we finally head to the airport. Samoa, second attempt. This time it works. The flight is on time and the hotel driver is also there. Quickly change some money, but not too much. The export of West Samoa Tala is prohibited.

After over an hour's drive on not particularly good roads, we reach the hotel. Samoa looks good. Just as green as Vanuatu, but everything looks more well-maintained. It almost feels like being in a botanical garden. The hotel does not offer Wi-Fi or television. So you can focus on the beautiful beach.😊

The next day we take a car and explore the island. I still have to get a Samoa Driver License (without an exam) and then we're off. Great beaches and great nature. A stop at the Fuipisia Waterfalls is particularly beautiful. Costs 20 WST (~7 €), but it's worth it. Whether we really had to pay anything here, we don't know.😃

We continue to Apia via various viewpoints. Finding a restaurant proves difficult, there are only fast food chains. That explains why everyone here is so fat.🤣 Obesity is considered a sign of prosperity here. And therefore there are damn many fat people! Even breakfast is already equipped with a cake buffet.

We spend the next day at the beach. Snorkeling is fun, the corals are very close to the beach. Many colorful fish, angelfish and a blue starfish are also included. Unfortunately, there are 2 hours of thunderstorms at noon, but the rest of the day is wonderful. There is fresh fish straight from the boat and then the last day is already over.
